What do you love most about Minnesota – I've lived in this state my entire life and what tops my list are the people, MN summers and trips up North to cabins.
The one thing that I want people to know about PRO Therapy – PRO Therapy was started to be able to help as many people as I (we) could make better decisions about their health. Healthcare can be a complex, confusing and many times scary world. We opened this private practice to be able to create an environment for people where they felt comfortable, empowered and able to tell their story.
Dr. Brett Black desires to come alongside his patients, working with each individual patient to come up with a game-plan for their specific lifestyle and condition. Dr. Black tailors each treatment plan utilizing hands-on techniques mixed with specific exercises to help each person regain their function. His goal is to get to know the individual and provide whole person care to help them achieve their personal goals.
Dr. Black is originally from the small town of Durand, WI (just south of Eau Claire, WI). While growing up, Dr. Black loved playing sports and serving at his local church/community. These passions fueled his love for learning how the human body works and helping others which eventually led him to pursue a Bachelors in Exercise Sports Science at UW-La Crosse. After his time in La Crosse, Dr. Black traveled to Sioux City, IA where he earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Briar Cliff University. After graduating, Dr. Black moved up to the Twin Cities to be closer to both his wife's (Hannah) family and his own family.
Away from the clinic, Dr. Black loves spending time outdoors! Whether it's hiking, kayaking, fishing, hunting, or disc golfing; you can always find him with his wife and dog enjoying nature. Fun fact, Dr. Black is an avid Wisconsin sports fan and loves Marvel/DC movies!

Favorite TV show – I can't chose just one, but I love a good laugh -- The Office, Parks and Rec, and New Girl.
Favorite Vacation – California exploring the coast, Yosemite National Park, and the Redwoods.
What do you love most about Minnesota – I love all the hiking trails and all the lakes for kayaking and fishing! Minnesota also has lots of great options for restaurants, breweries and wineries. I love exploring new places!
The one thing that I want people to know about PRO Therapy – PRO therapy wants to meet the person not just the patient. We strive to get to know you because when you're with us, you're part of the team. This allows you to be heard, which unfortunately isn't always the case in healthcare. Working with a smaller clinic like us, also gives you providers who spend more time with you. Therefore, we provide the best care for you to achieve YOUR goals. We look forward to getting to know you!
Dr. Trent Napp has a passion to mend the gap between rehabilitation and performance training. His treatment approach is specific to each patient and can include a multitude of interventions including a hands-on approach in combination with targeted specific exercise. His goal is to improve your symptoms and be a one-stop-shop for your health, wellness, and fitness needs when it comes to musculoskeletal conditions. He is a certified provider of the "Clinical Management of the Fitness Athlete" though the Institute of Clinical Excellence which specializes in the rehabilitation of populations from the weekend warriors to high level Crossfit and Olympic weightlifting athletes.
Dr. Napp grew up in Fennimore, WI in the southwest corner of the state. He grew up playing any sport he could. Dr. Napp received his bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science and minor in Biology from the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse. Dr. Napp also played college football at UW-L for four years. After graduation, Dr. Napp attended UW-L to earn his Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
Dr. Napp, in his free time, spends time with his wife, Jill, and dog, Fletcher, exploring local breweries and food trucks. He also enjoys bowhunting in the fall, working out, and is an avid Wisconsin sports fan (Go Pack Go)!

What do you love most about Minnesota – A perfect mix of city and outdoors. I love being able to go enjoy dinner at a restaurant with a lake view but also able to feel the “buzz” of the city. Growing up somewhere without many lakes, lake days in the summer are the best. I’m not a “true” Minnesotan so I am always looking for recommendations of places to go or see!
The one thing that I want people to know about PRO Therapy – PRO Therapy is truly trying to provide what is best for the patient. We want to give you a great experience with us, get to know you and allow you to know us. Being a small company allows us to do that! We want to provide you with the most optimal care to not just get out of pain but to take it to the next step to promote resilience and strength to prevent it from happening again. Give us a call to see if we can be the right fit for you, we’d love to hear from you!
Liz Spahr, originally from Stillwater, MN resides in Coon Rapids with her husband, Dr. Spahr! They have one daughter (Millie) and two dogs (Mia and Ellie).
Along with being Co-Owner of PRO Therapy, Liz utilizes her extensive Marketing background connecting with PRO’s patients via our website, email communications and social media platforms.
Favorite TV show – Die hard, Grey’s Anatomy Fan!
Favorite Vacation – My favorite vacation is when my husband, Kevin and I, took a road trip along the Pacific Coast, from San Francisco to San Diego!
What do you love most about Minnesota – I’ve been blessed to travel all over for work and I always love coming home to Minnesota. “Minnesota Nice” is a real thing and I love it! Plus, knowing my whole immediate family lives here is so comforting and allows for big family gatherings more often than not!
The one thing that I want people to know about PRO Therapy – PRO Therapy is not just another business or average clinic. It truly stems from a place of passion with Dr. Spahr. He loves what he does, he employs others who love what they do and all of that is shown day to day within the patient interactions.
Sarah Schulte is from the small town of Fairfax, IA and moved to the Twin Cities two years ago. Sarah studied Health and Human Physiology at the University of Iowa and loved cheering on the Hawkeyes!
Most of her years growing up her life revolved around sports, if not playing herself, then watching siblings! In her spare time she enjoys doing yoga, going for walks around the lakes, baking and cooking. Fun fact - Sarah is a board game enthusiast! And on any weekend you can find her attending a concert/show!
